Model Mill Steam Engine

Home

This a model of a mill steam engine used in mills and manufacturing plants for power during the late 1800s and early 1900s. It is of my design and I have no written plans, they are in my head. All the parts are formed to shape and size by machining, grinding, and hand filing. I do not have a foundry to produce castings. The main parts are cast iron. It has a 1.250" bore and 2" stroke. The fly wheel is 5" in diameter. It also has both a clockwise and counter clockwise valve train controlling a slide valve.
